Stronger Together: A Message to Global CTI’s Customers Regarding Mitel’s Acquisition of ShoreTel

This morning, ShoreTel announced that they are being acquired by Mitel.  

This is exciting news and we are looking forward to providing our clients with greater efficiencies and more enhancements to your unified communications solutions.  The acquisition allows us to leverage cloud-based technologies for your organization, while continuing to design and support premise-based solutions for our enterprise customers.   Mitel has over 40 years of experience providing business communication solutions with more than 60 million users worldwide.  The acquisition creates a powerhouse that allows Global CTI to tap the industry’s broadest portfolio of business phone systems, collaboration, contact center and cloud solutions in order to help our customers be as great as they can be. 

As a valued Global CTI customer and ShoreTel user, you may be wondering how this affects you.  As a combined company, ShoreTel/Mitel will now have a greater breadth of supplies and resources to enable partners like us to scale and broaden our technical capacity to bring you new solutions and applications.   The acquisition transaction is expected to be completed in the third quarter of this year, and there will be no disruption of service or support for our customers.  Global CTI will continue to provide our customers with the same high quality service you have come to expect (including service, adds/moves/changes, expansions and upgrades). 

This acquisition is a significant move in the unified communications market, and we at Global CTI are buzzing with enthusiasm about what’s to come.  As we learn more about the details of this acquisition and how we will convey those benefits to our customers, we will keep you in the know.  In the meantime, please don’t hesitate to contact me or your account manager with any questions.
