NEC End-Of-Life Systems Warning

Did you know that NEC has announced the End-of-Life for the 2400, 2000, and IPK product lines? This means that NEC is no longer manufacturing these products and they will no longer support any of these product lines.
Within the last month we have received calls from three organizations that currently utilize NEC phones systems which are over four years old. These organizations learned the hard way what can really happen if their End-of-Life NEC telephone system experiences a major outage or failure.
As of September 30, 2009, new sales in the U.S. for the NEC NEAX 2000 IVS, IVS2 and IPS, have been End-of-Lifed and have been removed from the NEC product lineup. After the “end of new sales” phase, support will only continue for existing customers through September 2012. Act now before your organization finds itself on the wrong end of a system failure.
End of Life: September 30, 2012
• Software additions and licenses will no longer be available for purchase to expand your NEC system.
• Effective September 30, 2012 NEC will no longer manufacture replacement parts for these products.
• Any customers wanting to expand their system by adding software licenses will NOT be able to after September 30th, 2012.
